Have lost my private message's icon????

Hopefully someone can help me,i seem to have lost my private message icon top right hand corner of page under "You last visited" there is nothing there now so can't see if i have any messages,what going on........

has it kicked you out mate, sometimes if i dont tick the " remember me " it sign in , it kicks me out

Sheesh, bit flippin careless of you! Well we're not giving you another one if you can't look after the first one!

As spenny said, had you maybe got logged out and not noticed? - although you'd have had to then log in to have posted this thread.

I assume you can still get to your PM inbox? http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/private.php that link is the direct route.

Have you tried a different browser?, closed and reopened the browser, cleared your cache?

Just tried to send you a message about this and it told me i've turned off my private messages amd can't send a message until i turn them back on????

Can go through usercp to get them and your link but want them back where they belong,a gremlin me thinks D.........

Just sent you a test PM - has it come through successfully with the pop-up notification and then takes you to your inbox?

Yes it did that but can't reply and now its gone again,still telling me to turn private messages on,where do i do that........

OK, I've spotted the problem when I went to look at your profile. I could fix it from there but probably better if you did it in your User CP as you'll see what the problem was.

Somehow the setting to enable the PM system on your profile has been turned off - have you maybe turned it off by accident when changing another setting?

Go to User CP>Settings and Options>Edit Options. You'll see a tick box for Enable Private Messaging. According to your profile panel in my Admin CP you have that box unticked. You simply need to tick it again. Have you possibly accidentally ticked that box instead of one of the other ones above/below it?
