    Default 3.0V6 CDTi Service

I had my 2006 3.0 V6 CDTi service at my local dealer at a bit over 60k about 5 months ago. The car now had 67k and on the dash today it briefly displayed that a service was due in 1000 miles.

Surely this cant be right. Has the dealer forgot to reset something?

I'm assuming Insp flashed up on the odometer when you first started the car?

If it doesn't do it again I shouldn't worry, probably just canbus havin a little brain fart! Mine likes to throw up every warning light under the sun sometimes!...

The intervals, as I'm sure you're aware are 20K miles or 12 months, so assuming the odo displayed Insp prior to your previous service and hasn't since then they didn't froget to reset it.

Aren't the service intervals 30k or 24months? Or is it different for the facelift models?

Ah, you may be makin a valid point there Celes. I just quoted what the intervals are on my 05, def what I said according to the book...

I wonder if they've changed on later models or gone over to Eco-flex, in which cas it might be due again but probably only if sterling01 has been screwing the nuts off it for the last 5 months lol!

They changed the service intervals on 1.9's - from 30k and 2years to 20k and 1year (I believe). Don't know if they canged anything for the V6's.

I have not been screwing the nuts off it, but at the same time, I dont drive like captain slow. The dpf was replaced under warrenty about 10,000 miles ago. The insp light was not on when I got it serviced at 60k. I bought the car through Network-q with 48k and it was serviced when I got it. So I had done 12k when I had it serviced. Strange one. At least I dont have a 2.2 direct.........

A 2006 3.0 V6 CDTI will probably be the Z30DT (I think thats the correct engine code), service interval 20K miles / 1 year
Sounds to me like they didn't reset the service indicator

Up to 2005 the 3.0 V6 CDTI (Y30DT) was on ECOflex, with these daft 30K miles / 2 year service intervals

I understand you can ask the dealership to adjust the service interval, but at £50 is it worth it?!
