    Default Oil Addative

I've had the oil changed over the weekend, and I'm running 5-30 fully synth, but in my Astra, I always added a tin on Wynns Oil Addetive

Is it also worth using it on the Vectra?

Handbook specifically says NOT to use any additive.

IMO, if any additive did what it said on the bottle, modern day oils would include it anyway. The oil companies spend a lot of money coming up with the right oil for the right job.

Secret of longevity - use a quality oil and change it frequently .

I recently posted on here my comments to claims made by oil additive companys about their products, backed up by professional investigations by independant organisations. They all say that they are all a waste of money.

The other secret to oil longevity is to treat is properly too.

That is correct, they recon it could undermine the oil.

But they also say not to fit tuning chips or have the engine re-mapped.
