Default new LED number plate light's fitted

after this_thread i ordered some middle of the road priced LED version's of the 501 lamp's for the rear number plate light's....http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hi-Power-Xenon...1%7C240%3A1318

they came today so i decided to fit them asap......

first impression was ok they look not bad, no bulb warning light on the dash and seem pretty white and pretty bright, just seem to have a restricted light pattern (pic will show better), also when i locked the car they flashed 12 time's before they went out completly and this took about 30 sec's or so to happen......

so think when the MTEC's turn up i shall be swapping around to see what is the best...you lot be the judge

to be honest mate i am not 100% convinced......i think that the lit up area is too small as you can not see as much as with the standard one's....from what ever angle i stood it just didn't seem right
as you can see in the first pic the original lamp the light flood's better compared to the new one...just like a right sided flood if you know what i mean
