07 Siggy Flywheel question

Just finalising my deal on my Siggy this week and they have found that the flywheel and the slave cylinder needed replacing, which they have done. I noticed that the pedal was sitting slightly high when I first looked at the car.

The car is an 07 Design Network Q from a main dealer.

Should they have replaced the clutch too?

Given the mileage, unless there was any obvious issue with the clutch, then I wouldn't have expected them to have put a clutch in (even though it would have been good practice). It's the flywheel that is a common issue on the 1.9 so at least that's been done under warranty.

Did you not ask them about the clutch at the time? If you'd pushed them they 'may' have put one in, or may have charged you for the part if you'd insisted. The labour would have been very little difference as they'd have had it all out anyway.

No I didnt, I spoke to the sales lady and she went and got the Service manager who said the car had just been delivered from Vauxhall and they had not gone over the car for the Network Q. There was no hassle, have been very helpful and have done a couple of other minor things too. Going back tomorrow to test drive it again b4 we close the deal, not often that Main dealers are so helpful, got 2 great ones down this neck of the woods

There probably won't be any issue, so probably nothing to worry about. There shouldn't normally be any need to change a clutch at that mileage, so I'd just get the car and enjoy it knowing that a known issue on that engine (flywheel) has been sorted for you getting it.

Thanks for that, am looking fwd to getting it now, they can fix the other problems when they crop up, dont think they will mug me off, the service manager knows that I know about my cars and was very informative and helpful when I looked at the car over Christmas
