    Default respray bumper help.

going to have both bumpers (front 1 been bumped)resprayed.phoned the insurance who gave me the details to get a quote, anyway the chap at the garage said i would need a new bumper.(i tell you that is taking the piddle).so said to him that, could he sray the rear in with that. NO can`t do that you will pay for that extra, £250 excess plus £120 for the rear.
got someone to do both for £300 i have to strip and deliver them.(fine with me).not sure which way to go now.do i let he insurance do it or go t other way.if i go 2nd way i have the xp lips on how hard is it to remove these.
    opions please.

    Perhaps everyone agrees with Dose?

I know i do. A reputable insurance approved bodyshop quoted me £90 to spray a brand new front bumper I was going to supply in metallic silver so £300 for both seems high.

If you're claiming through the insurance, then yes they will charge one excess for each "accident/incident", so if each bumper was damaged separately - i.e. NOT by you being hit in the rear and shunted forwards into someone else - then it's 2 claims, 2 excesses. And you really don't want to be adding 2 claims to your insurance record.
