loud noise from front of vectra sri

im having trouble with a load noise coming from the front passenger side of my 1.8 vectra sri(2006 model) the car came fitted with bridgestone tyres when i bought it in october 2007 i changed them for 4 new tyres in october 2008 for infinity 215/50/R17 tyres then in december 2008 i had a loud noise coming from the front passenger side,took it to local vauxhall dealer thinking it may be a fault they thought at first it was a wheel bearing on its way out but then they said its the budget tyres,the noise gets louder as you accerate upto 60mph and is then very loud,as you take your foot off the throttle it starts to 'wind' down until the noise dissapears at 20mph,ive changed the rear tyres for the front tyres and the noise is still no different!!! is it the car or the tyres or tyre ?the noise continues at the front corner oh and should the discs get hot ?

The disks will get hot as they are used. Depends how hot yours are getting.

hot enough to burn you almost after a 30 mile trip is that normal ?

I'd say thats normal. Mine get very hot. It all depends how hard you brake too, its the way they work. More friction = more heat. It one os sticking on then you will see a noticeable difference in the amount of brake dust on that one wheel.

seems am not the only one who has been having this noise from the front of their vectra judging by other peoples posts !

If its constant and you have ruled out the tyres then my next guess would be a hub problem. Clunking or knocking could be anti roll issues.

problem sorted took it to the dealers last night its the off side hub bearing that needs replacing so its going in today at 4pm to be changed and the cost is £195.00 a bargain ?it appears im getting discount for being a good customer !
