    Dirty connectors in the stalk.

Try rapidly switching up / down and maybe a spray of electrical contact cleaner in there too. Mine did it, but on decel button and this method cured it. I think it is the grease inside the switch gets on the contacts.

Usual cause is the clutch/brake pedal switches, which in turn is caused by a weak spring not returning the pedal to the fully up position and engaging them.

Mine's just started to develop an annoying fault that seems to be getting worse.

Set cruise, no problem - it's normally been very reliable - could and have set it at one end of the M1 and gone halfway down with no issues, indicating to change lanes, using the jog up/down okay etc

Now, in the past couple of weeks, it's developed a fault where the slightest touch of the indicator stalk cancels the cruise - and I've double-triple checked that I'm not touching the cancel button, and have tried the brake pedal trick etc.

Tonight on the A1 I changed lanes, indicating using the short '3-flash then off' feature, and almost as soon as it was finished, the cruise died - not even touching the stalk at the time.

Is this a dicky switch? Or is it something more like the CIM? I've noticed that the car is more sensitive to cancelling indicators of late, and even though it has always been a bit keen, it's now cancelling them as I start to turn into corners.

It's the same stalk, but other than that are these two glitches in any way connected?
