    just tried to take off the rear wheel to see if i could find out where the clunking noise is comming from and SNAP. The locking nut key has just gone(hardly any force used) and got stuck in the locking nut vxl want £25 for a new one, a bit steep for a bit of chocolate methinks is there anywhere else to buy these from cheaper ??

    You can get some better after market ones, thats what I did when I rounded off my locking nut... like you say... "they're made of chocolate!"

    I think I paid around £20 from some random car/bike shop... Mcgans' or something like that...

    think you mean McGuard locking wheel nuts, bit more expensive, but worth it, try DemonTweeks, they sell them. got mine from there....

    doh, someone beat me

    Also to remove them Vauxhall have the option to purchase the Master Set of 20 locking wheel nuts, so maybe they'll be nice and remove them for you, but not all dealers have these.

    so what happens if the locking nut key has sheared off on the locking nut how do they remove the nut??as mine is stuck in the nut....help!lol

    there is a special set of tools which wll remove any locking wheel nut i have a set in my unit basicly you put this socket on the locking wheel nut and you whack it with a hammer and it cuts into the locking wheel nut put a wheel wrench on and hey presto of it comes.not a pretty site and you will have to geta new set of nuts hth

    But they are £80....a bit pricey to remove one nut ..how much does it usually cost and where can i get them removed about...cheers

    if its any help email me a pic at crazyleds@aol.com as i have a set here and to date i have removed 6 sets of gen vauxhall bolts with them for peeps
    just need to see if they are a close match
    however i am around 30 miles away from you but its only going to cost you juice
    the offers there if you like it
