Default Matt Chrome 3rd spoke SRI

Matt chrome bottom spoke (pre facelift sri 3 spoke wheel)
    93179295 (£9+vat)

I bought this item from the dealers and it doesn't fit my steering wheel

The part number matches the above part number. Anybody else had this issue?

Things line up (reasonably) but the plastic cone that the screw fits into is too long which means that the cover sits too high. I'm going to take it back.

Could you not trim a bit off the plastic cone that the screw fits into?

That's the one i got too. And it won't fit my SRI wheel either.

I could but when i buy this for £13-14 i expect it to be ready made to fit my car. It doens't appear to sit right even if i where to cut it back a little bit.

If it's the one for the Astra steering wheels, you have to cut it down to fit.

I bought the granite / charcoal metallic version for mine & had to cut / file it down to match the shape of the original.
The piece for the retaining screw was also cut down to the same length as the original.

Just found the thread that shows mine:
