Default Ultra Blue colour code and touch up paint

Hi people, Halfords do a touch up kit £10 for pearl or metallic paints . Its a good little kit . They don't do ultra blue and I can't find the paint code it is not on the slam panel .

I really need a touch up pen do I need to go to V/X if so £?

    Thanks people

Go to Vx m8. Costs a fiver for the touch up stick (with lacquer stick included). Paint code should be 21B but double check on the plate on the drivers side B pillar.

VX/Opel have two numbers for the same colour of paint!. One is called the Special Code (what most people appear to have on the B pillar plate), the other number is called Paint Code.

Looking in the Vx paints list, Ultra Blue has a Special Code of 4CU (as yours) and a Paint Code of 21B (what's on my B pillar plate!!). So, exactly the same colour, but Vx appear to be sticking either number on the plate to confuse us!! lol

My Signum was built in Russelheim, so I don't know if that is a factor?

I bought one yesterday for my vectra in moonland metalic from the main dealer & was very suprised to find that it was only £4.76 inc vat. I came in a twin pack with a clear coat laquer. Half the price of halfords (If they had stocked it). Glad they didn't.

Little tip. Don't use the brush for doing your spotting in. Use a dressmaking pin or cocktail stick, depending on the size of chip, and load some paint onto it to and use that to apply it - or get a very fine artists brush and do the same.

How can you tell where an individual model was manufactured, something on the car or the documentation?

PS I also have a paint code 21B on my 05. I read somewhere that there are two codes because one is an Opel code and the other is a Vx code, not sure of the meaning/implications of this though.
