    I'm sorry for being so noobish, but could you please take a photo of it?

    Been at the dealers to take the Insignia for a spin and asked about this boost sensor.
    "Can only order the sensor with a new turbo." For a new turbo they would charge me...ready for it? £3800 ...labor cost not included

    I bought a boost sensor off e-bay for a tenner...and it works!

    Piccie.



    It's an underside view showing rubber seal that fits into hole on manifold and also the two retaining screw holes are visible.Electrical connector is on the right.

    And that will cost you £3800 !!!!

    Thanks to your pic and explanation I have now succesfully located the sensor. HITACHI BOOST SENSOR Many thanks my friend

    Is there a way to clean it or is the only option a new one?

    Squirting in some carb cleaner through the small hole didn't seem to do it any harm.

    After a month of peace the EML is back on. Now though, I get power restriction when driving with low revs (1500 or less) too.
    This doesn't sound like the boost sensor to me more like the EGR getting stuck .

    The boost pressure sensor is £51 + VAT from Vauxhall .
