    Default Couple of questions - Re CDTI 150 SRI

    Hey guys

    As my other thread states, i'm currently looking for a CDTI 150 SRI.

    1) - How do i find out if a car is the 150 or 120 bhp version?

    2) - Can anyone give me a run down of the service intervals on this engine and tell me briefly what Vx state each service entails please?

    3) - Those guys who have this engine - After what mileage have you had the timing belt etc changed and how much did it cost you?

    I've seen an estate with 60k on it and it doesn't look like its had the timing belt changed. Seller is saying its been serviced to manufacturers guidelines, so any info on the above will be greatly appreciated!

    Red CDTi Boot badge for the 150 and Black CDTi for the 120.
    The ehgine oil filler cap is on the righthand side of the engine for the 150 and on the lefthand side for the 120.

    20k miles or 2 year for the service.
    I'm sure somebody else will inform you on the cambelt.

    Thought it was 30k on a CDTi and 20k for petrol?

    It was for the older ones, I think they changed it to 20k later on.

    As for the timing belt interval, originally vx said 100K miles I believe - but if I remember right, they are recommending 60k now.

    My handbook is from 2004 so that explains it.

    Thanks guys!

    The car we're looking at is a 54 plate-62k. Its had services as follows:

    1st service 10/01/06 23165mls Main dealer
    2nd service 03/04/07 41465mls Main dealer
    3rd service 31/10/07 49618mls Main dealer
    4th service 05/11/08 61982mls independant

    Can anyone give me any info on each service as in which is minor/major etc?

    Should the timing belt have been changed at the last service?

    I've got the SRI cdti 150 and the service intervals are 20k. I was told by the dealer that cam belt is due at 100K but they will check and advise at each service from 60K and said roughly £250 on top of service.

    Some of the 150 owners recommend changing the belt at about 75-80k ish. That's when i'm going to get mine done. I'm sure that all 1.9 CDTI's are 15,000 miles or 2 years service intervals?

    120 cdti is 8 valve one cam cover 150 is 16 valve two cam covers
