How to remove lighter socket?

Hi. How do you remove the lighter/12v socket on 2008 Exclusiv? I need to get to the wiring to install Dension ice link.

If you pull out the ashtray you should have plenty of room mate. HTH

What he said....Then pull the plug from the bottom of the ciggy lighter and that will give you plenty room to work with..At least thats how i installed my ice-link....Have you also looked at this for the ice-link

This just saves drilling holes in the dash and it fits perfect..

As above - you can just get in and pull the plug off the bottom of the socket. There's not much spare loom but you fiddle about with it and then the trick is getting the plug back on the socket, but it is doable without taking the whole socket out.

Thanks for the help. I did pull the ashtray out yesterday and could see the Tech2 socket but never noticed the plug for the socket. Do you mean remove the whole ashtray/socket part?
