Good Afternoon All,
I have been experiencing a problem with my facelift vectra c.
Goin over speed bumps theres a like crunching sound. Also steering was very wavy, loose.
Took it to a garage and they were unable to find a fix for all.
They said the bushes were worn on the wishbones so both have been replaced. £240 :-(
I have also had both the rear trailing arms replaced £160 but that was last november
Both the drop links and the ARB bushes have been checked and apparently they are fine. For the cost of £10 for ARB bushes i was gonna ask them to just replace them anyway.
The steering has improved since the wishbones have been fitted.
The crunch/clunking sound is not so loud now, but is still there.
The garage seem to think its the shocks. Unfortunately i have no idea. My local garages arent much use but this is about the only one i trust.
I dont really have time to take it anywhere else. I know there supplier is Parkers.
Any ideas of anything else that could be wrong. and what sort of cost i'm looking at for two front shocks. They will only buy from parkers so i'm not really sure.
To top this all off, i lost the car all last week making work hell.
Driving home from the garage today the service light came on. So car is booked in for service monday
Any ideas, suggestions or help would be great!
