Default Upgrading rear brake caliper help needed

I have the full rear 292mm brake setup (disks calipers and carriers) sitting in my house ready to fit.

Now i have a problem in that the handbrake cable goes through a bracket on the caliper with a black plug/grommet that won't budge.

Anyone that has done this upgrade or has had to replace the handbrake cable at any time, could you give me any advise as to how to remove this.

    Many thanks in advance.

There should be a slot in the cup that the cable outer sits in. Soak the cup and cable in penetrating fluid for a while and then using an old screwdriver as a punch, place the blade edge of the screwdriver in the slot and give the end of the outer cable a little tap in the direction it is to come out and this should dislodge it. Works every time for me

I can remove these ones by wripping them out as they are on the calipers ready to fit, my problem is how to remove the same things including the cable on the ones fitted to the car at the moment without damaging them because they have to be refitted.
