I was in the queue at the local petrol station this morning, waiting behind a woman in her mid forties, when it was her turn to pay;

Cashier "Which pump"
Lady " Its that blue one over there"
Cashier "Pump 1, £10 pounds"
Lady "Can you tell me if I've put petrol or diesel in it ?"
Cashier "Umm, petrol"
Lady "Oh thats allright them"
She gives him a £10 note and walks away
Cashier "Do you want your receipt"
Lady "What"
Cashier "Receipt, do you want your receipt"
Lady "Umm, nah"

I'm thinking "she's hasn't a f***ing clue", what hope have the rest of us got, with people like her behind the wheel"

Fortunately, the DSA have been making some changes to the test in recent years, you now have to show at least a little knowledge of how a car works with the 'show me/tell me' part of the driving test. Perhaps they should go a stage further and have fueling a car form part of the test?

Probably the same woman who went to Halfords and asked for a '710 cap' for the top of her engine as hers was missing.

All I can say is that with only £10 in her tank, she will not make it down this end of the country.

Should she be driving

.Hubby is training to be come a driving instructor
they are going to be a lot of changes for passing your driving test,like where to put oil,water and fuel.The test its self will be longer and a lot more theory too.
Also going make it so you can only learn from a Driving instructor.

I took my test nearly 12 years ago and my driving instructor showed me where to put oil, water and fuel - he even took me to a petrol station and told me to fill it up!

She definitely should not be on the road, I can see the scenario now

"yes officer, I saw that other car approaching" she said after travelling a mile down the wrong side of the dual carriageway!!!
