Think I'm gonna stop next week! The Mrs will be pleased, she'll be running around the house lighting them for me by Monday night, if she hasn't left by then. I get just a little bit touchy!!!

I can give up quite easily to be honest, after a couple of days I'm fine, it's when I go out for a pint it all goes to ****e, get ****ed, have a fag and then to the shop to buy some. Need to have a couple of months off it all, new baby due on 21st Feb so ideal time to stop I think.

    Here's the secret to it....

1 - You must in your mind want to quit, quitting for others is a certain failure.

2 - Gentle withdrawal, last time I tried I had a pouch out in the garage and when things got too much I'd nip out and roll one, I saw this as a 90% reduction

It was all working I went from 20 tailor mades to 3 rollies overnight, as I got to day 15 some without my crutch I may add I had a potential family disaster and it all got too much and I felt 10 Superkings wouldn't hurt, and it reclaimed me again, but statistics show the more times you quit the greater chance of quitting improves, right now I don't want to quit so I'm not trying, but out of my two attempts I feel the cold turkey method was the best one, all the best if you managed to get off it, but my life is too stressful and too much empty time between jobs at the moment.

It's the best way, you don't fail that way, it gives you the option to take a break for ten minutes and then get back on the wagon.

Cold turkey worked for me. The first week was easy, I was skint. The next 2 months were murder, but it gradually got better. Been off them for 3 years now and don't even think about them now.
    3.2 v6 Signum and loving it 😁
