    Default Dreaded phone call.

those fatal words at the end of the telephone......

"Dont shout at me, but ive scraped a wheel really bad."

    "how bad?"

    "bad"

    "how bad is bad?"

"dont go on at me. I didnt do it on purpose"

"Is it bad enough that the tyre is dangerous?"

"No, i can still drive it but you will notice it"

    "How big is is then?"

    "about 6" round the rim"

    Gets even worse....

"hello wicked wheels, can i help?"

"yes, can you repair my alloy please?"

    "sure, what colour is it?"

    "its got a polished rim....."

"..... let me stop you there, we dont do polished anymore and im not sure where does"

oh dear, that's got to sting Andy! it's bad enough when you do it to your own wheel, but when someone else lends a hand (even if it is your mrs) it's always a little worse.

hope you can get sorted quickly and cheaply!

As they are diamond polished rims it is a nightmare to do them now

    I struggled a while ago.

I love diamond rims but don't buy them anymore. I repair my own alloys.

its not her fault, as such, but its blooming frustrating when you try and keep something nice. Found one place that may be able to do it, but not in time for ellesmere port. Just got to wait till home time till i can get home and see what she describes as 'really bad'

Well not to dishearten you dude, but I scraped mine a couple of weeks ago, 1/3 of the wheel and big chunks out of it, the wife had a look and said `thats not bad, do you really need to get it repaired??` ....I am thinking it may be a replacement wheel, which isn`t as expensive as you may think ....

that's a great guide CDTi, might have to try it on a few areas on my alloys when the weather warms up a bit.

My advice is be annoyed enough to make it matter, but not enough to cause an argument.

I'm just really glad that it was me that scuffed my two fronts alloys.

I'm sure you'll get it all sorted matey.
