    Default Tuning Box

I am going to be fitting my tuning box tonight (arrived today) I have read the how 2 on fitting the box and that all seems pretty straight forward, the question I have is does it matter where I mount the box itself i.e. due to temps? or can it just sit wherever?

Can't wait to get home now, just hope its as good as everyone says.

    Thanks

Route the wiring safely to avoid it chaffing. I also tucked mine in the battery box to keep it away from heat and water etc, no problems with mine in 20k miles with it fitted.

Well, the box is fitted and WOW what a difference. pulls much stronger now, feels like a different car. Also did the airbox mod at the same time, dunno if this has made any additional benefits but it cant hurt.

One thing is the computer is now a long way out on mpg, i knew it would put it out a little, but its now over reading by 17% (after calculating myself).

    Does this sound normal?

Yes that is a trait of fitting a box mate. You'll get used to it

I thought it would mess up the reading, but didnt think that it would be by that much. Saying that, I never compared the computer to actual figures before fitting, so dont know how far out is was then.

    Thanks for clarifying.
