    Default A legitimate 999 Call?

Today I was travelling southbound on M1. Under the overpass at J24A I was travelling in lane 3 when I saw a lorry tyre half in the carriageway and half on the central reservation.

I called 999 and went through to the Notts Police control, she seemed grateful and thanked me etc etc etc.

I then started to think if it was legitimate to call 999 for this.

    What do people think?

absolutely correct...........think of the carnage that could happen if someone paniced and vered into the middle lane and collects another vehical and so on and so on ....
They probibly passed your information onto the highways department and one of those pretend police 4 by 4,s would sort it out

    Absolutely CORRECT

100% YES from me, it would only be a matter of time before some plonker in his Hungarian Lorry swerved into the middle lane causing chaos! THIS IS NOT A DIRECT DIG AT HUNGARIAN OR ANY FOREIGN LORRY DRIVER but you know what I am saying!
