erm yep..mine was keyed down one side..and ended up being done the wrong shade..so the car was 2 tone ! in the end it took me 4 months of fighting with my insurance and getting engineer reports etc before they agreed to respray the whole car!!..
hope it all goes well for you though!

Check everything before you sign. They probably blended it onto a few other panels so check those as well for colour match. Look at the panels gaps, orange peel and around edges for mask lines.

That sounds like there was a fair bit of damage....quite surprised they didnt right it off! Any images of the damage....sure some people here can pinpoint what to look for!

If it's any consolation, mine had £3000 worth of damage done to the rear end but was repaired perfectly, you'd never know anything had happened.

The simplest check you can do is to run your finger over all the panel shuts of the repaired/replaced panels...the gap should feel the same size all along the panel. If the gap narrows or widens then that panel hasn't been aligned properly.

I really dont understand insurance companies sometimes.....my dad had a Vec B 1.7 TD LS on an N-reg about 7 years ago and someone basically smashed into the back of it whist it was standing overnight.

Anyway, insurance company took it away and chose to repair it.....when we got the car back we found out that insurance company paid out £1450.00 or there about to cover the cost of the repair, etc. At the the time, the market value of the car was around £2000.00 - £2200.00, thats what they were selling for.............?

I sold it 3 months later for £2100....still puzzles me up til today!

I just couldnt figure this out!
