    HELP! front suspension problem

    front suspension in the passenger side is gone.went to the garage adviced me to change both sides.they want to charge me £210 for both inc labor or £105 inc. labor for just the one suspension.is it the price reasonable and is it really advisable to change both sides into new ones?.i need some advise ASAP PLEASE.

    What did they say the problem was?..Front suspension is a bit vague..

    If you mean the shockers yes change both sides at the same time

    If its the shock absorbers you may well get aftermarket one's cheaper and get a local garage to fit them.

    As your car is 2003 springs would be changed under warranty..Dampers would be a fight to get under warranty unless you had NetworkQ cover..

    Not a lot else would need replacing in axle pairs thou..

    What work have they advised you have??

    its actually the shock absorbers.but actually guys i made the decisions today to have it done.i need my car for work.its only the one side for £95 inc. labor,tax.(only a generic shock)i didn't see your suggestions before i went to the garage.do you think guys i made the right decision.thanks all!!!

    Pinoy..

    dampers must be replaced in axle pairs to maintain an even balance to the car when driving and especially under braking where having a mis-matched pair of shocks could prove deadly..It hurts to have the pair replaced if only one has gone but what price for safety??

    At least at the main Stealers you should have a greater degree of comeback if there are any further problems...

    What mileage did they go at?? Just for interest..
