Some may re-call I suspected a swirl valve problem on the 2.2 direct petrol Veccy just before Christmas. Well after phoning Vauxhall they said to contact the garage for a proper opinion / check and they will deal withnit from there.
I have just left the car with a local Vauxhall garage and they said that if it is a swirl valve, then Vauxhall would only pay 50% as its 5 weeks out of warranty and I will have to pay for hooking it up to Tech2. I asked what that means in a bill to me. The answer was £465, with Vauxhall paying the 400 towards the swirl valve cost.
This seems very costly to fix a swirl valve, that has been fixed twice before!
The last time was approx 8 months ago and I would have thought that it would have been within some warranty on that repair??
Any feed back would really be appreciated guys before I go mad.
