Climate control Help

The centre button of my climate control facia is playing up , what i need know is , is the centre botton removable and does it work like the electric windows i.e with the contacts that often get dirty, it works in the rotary direction fine (fan speed 1-7) but when you depress it to select the menu .you have to all most push it through the dash

not 100% sure but i think its a microswitch that works when you push the button, drivers side heat control is the same on mine, adjusts heat no problem, but you need to push it like crazy to get both temps the same

how do you remove the unit, i want to check mine hasnt got a loose plug, as the lights sometimes take a while to illuminate, and heated screen sometimes switches itself off if i adjust the temp

Pull the storage tray out , then get your fingers behind and it will pop out , the terminals are like a folding clip ( sort of see saw machanism ) be careful not to damage the connector clip .

Just pulls out , just wiggle it , they are a bit awkward .
