Guess the arms are set in the wrong place to start with?
    Have they been removed?

Might be worth checking the linkage anyway. When I replaced my front motor recently I noticed the splined sort of end that links the motor to the actually wiper arm linkage looked quite worn - its quite possible that this might have 'slipped' and put your linkage out of alignment with the motor.

Should be able to check with the black plastic covers just lifted up.

Well the linkages seem to be around £30 from a scrappy and £70 new.

On mine, I simply put a new nut on (nylok type) and thats held it OK (fingers crossed) for a couple of months now, so you might only need to do that.

Sorry i assumed the arms had been removed b4 you got the car?
Welll if its not the linkage i guess it can only be the park in the motor at fault?
