Default New to the club picking up Vectra next week

    Hi guys

What a fantastic website . A little help would be great. I'm picking up a black 08 vectra SRI 1.8vvti next week. I've driven one on the test drive but the one i'll be buying I'ves not seen the sales man has promised less than 15000 miles and as new inside and out apart from checking all the electrics work and it stops starts and drives fine is their anything else i should be looking out for?

    cheers Matt

I would test drive and check the feel of the clutch, there are a lot of issues with clutch judder on these engines, I have it quite bad on mine. It is intermitent but if there is an issue with urs you may be lucky and notice on the Apart from that I hope you enjoy the new car!

As said before. Check the clutch for judder " judder's at the top end of travel and possibly over rev's" Seams worse in cold weather.
Not a major issue as it will be covered under warranty. I had mine done just after i bought it. at 17k miles.
No other issues really. Still plenty of warranty on it so no problem.

cheers for the information regards the cluch will check it out on the test drive. Yes its from arnold clark the wifes car came from them 07 tigra has been a peach of a car covered 30.000 miles in 18 months no issues tyres replaced at 28500 which i was really happy with. dealing with the same sales man 7k for a 08 sri 1.8vvti with 15k onthe clock is a deal will just be your basic SRI but with all my previous cars ( fords) it will have afew mods within a week or two..

    cheers Matt
