    hi
i am looking for some help
when i turn the heater control up or down nothing happens.
does anyone know the name of the part i need?
the aircon still blows and there are no fuses gone it is just the hot/cold control that doesnt work.
the dial turns no hassle but nothing happens to the temperature

    cheers

There was a thread yesterday about the replacement of the heater motor resistor. Here you go have a read of this. Quite a lond read. But very informative though.

Sounds like the actuator servo motor that control hot / cold mix has gone. You'll have to take a look at it. Maybe a temp fix would be to move it to the hot position until you can get the part.

Remove the glovebox (5 screws and disconnect the light) and have a good look around the heater pack. I'm not entirely sure which one it is, but am sure it will be easy to find

Before you do anything else, check that there is enough water/coolant in the car. This happened on my wife's Streetka last winter, it was freezing no difference when you changed the heater controls.

I checked all the fuses and relays and everything was OK. It came down to the coolant had dropped past the minimum. If this happens then the heater matrix doesn't work as there is no hot coolant going through it. Engine temp was also not showing a warning.

I'm sure that is probably your problem.
