The new year continues to turn to cr*p for me.

Going on from someone causing £600 of damage to my car and driving off the dreaded "spanner" light has come on and the car is now in limp mode. The car was running and coughing and spluttering then the light came on.

The car runs sweet in limp mode albeit no power!

To rub salt in the wound there is now water dripping from under the car below the belts. Could this be the water pump?

I'm having it tech2 tomorrow at work but any idea how much a water pump is to replace. 2.2 DTi 2003.

They say things happen in 3's..... well thats 3

water pump on my car from the dealer's is the princly sum of just under £40.00 with trade club...120 cdti and driven by the cam belt so i am told so would need this replacing aswell, just to give you a general idea
