    Default winter fuel

    I know petrols use more fuel in winter but do diesels? my diesel doesnt seem to be getting as good returns as it used to.

    it might use abit more while it's warming up.. i found that if i do short trips an the engine aint up to temp.. it uses a lil bit more.
    not like gallons more, bu i notice the consumption on the computer is abit lower than normal

    colder denser air make's it run better.......i don't notice much of a diff in consumption though, just enjoy the better driving...

    Just ruined by the diesel clatter hahaha, thats ok mine dropped (acording to computer) from 48.9 to 45.0 mpg high 40's in summer, suppose i need to bear in mind im using heated seats alot more too

    diesel clatter..lol not with the stereo on loud.....feel's even more like a petrol in this cold weather, pity i have the box off at the mo would be awsome.........and i don't have a full computer so not that bothered by a few less mpg to be honest.........

    Apparently, diesel is formulated differently for the winter months.
    That might partly explain why mpg in winter is generally less than usual.

    that puts a different spin on thing hideous..... i feel robbed now, they should lower the price in winter months lol
