Replacement windscreen cost

Hello, does anyone know the rough cost of replacing a vectra c windscreen. Its a bog standard one with no top tint or rain sensing wipers fitted. Mines got a 10" crack in it from a chip and I dont have windscreen cover on my insurance.

If you contact Poves he is breaking his car, and his has the tint and sensor fitted.

Mine was replaced by autoglass on insurance in sept 08...invoice said £580.00

I can fit you mine if you like , it has top tint and the bracket for rain sensor if you ever wanted to upgrade .
I am a windscreen fitter by the way : ) , so it will be done proper.
You would have to bring the car here though .

Just thought I would ask a windscreen related question,, bit of a strange one,, I have a vectra, so does my dad and my sister,, and for some reason the black border that goes round the edge of the windscreen on the inside (mainly along the bottom 1/2 hiding where the wipers sit) seems to be different on each of our cars. On mine its quite a deep border, on my dads it only just comes above the line of the dashboard where it meets the windscreen. do they fit different screen?

No , they are all the same size , probably just a 3rd party glass . Copyright and all that .

How are you going to get a bonded screen out without breaking it?

With a long blade , like a stanley knife / or cheesewire as a last resort.
The last one I whipped out was a 3 series bmw , took about 15 mins tops .
