Default Who Has After Market Hu With Steering Controls

    Ok guys & girls

This is specifically aimed at the people with 6 button (3 on each side) steering wheels. Not the people with the later roller wheel type

    Now the question

Have any of you got an aftermarket head unit installed in your vectra/signum with working steering controls?

If you have please can you state what year and model your car is? What your original head unit was. What adapter you purchased for the steering controls and what make your new head unit is.

I believe there to be some models where none of the adapters on the market work and am trying to get to the bottom of it in order to approach the companies that make the steering wheel interfaces.

    CAR MODEL:
    CAR YEAR:
    STANDARD HU MODEL NO:
    ADAPTER MAKE:
    ADAPTER MODEL:
    NEW HU MAKE:

If you don’t know all the info just post what you know
    Cheers all

    Here's mine

    Car Model: vec GSi
    Car Year: 2003
Standard HU Model No: CDR 2006
    Adapter Make: Pioneer
    Adater Model: CA-R-PI.151
New HU Make: Pioneer DEH P7000UB

I tried the autoleads adapter but could not get it to work, however i had to do some mods to get this to work also, i had to switch the power supply to the control unit in the adapter as well as the power supply to the car stereo.
    It now works a treat.

Have a look at the Connects2.co.uk web site... that may help as they make the adaptors.

I changed to a Sony headunit, with a connects2 stalk & display adapter.
It also puts the ID3 (mp3) info on the display screen.

    CAR MODEL: Vectra SXI
    CAR YEAR: 2003 (53 plate)
STANDARD HU MODEL NO: CDR 2005
ADAPTER MAKE: Connects2 - stalk & display adapter
    ADAPTER MODEL: (can't remember)
    NEW HU MAKE: Sony

    Edit: this may help:
