    Default Parrot MKi9200 SOT Cable

    Hi,

I have been looking into getting a handsfree kit installed into my Vectra and yesterday, decided on the Parrot MKi9200. Halfords were selling them at different prices at different stores for some reason, so after searching, found the cheapest at £149.99 with free fitting.

The one question I they asked me was, how many lines do I have on my display on the stereo, the choices were: 2, 3 or 4.

I said it was either 3 or 4 as I have an CDC40 with a higher res screen than usual but we went with 4 and ordered a SOT-078 ISO cable.

My query is...is this the correct adaptor for my car?

    Many thanks!

this is the type of plug it will be.

i have a feeling that after mid 2004 they started using the quadlock adapter so if your car is newer than late 2004 / early 2005 it wont be the correct connector.

do you have 6 buttons on your steering wheel or roller wheels?

if you have roller wheels then the above adapter wont work. if you have 6 little buttons (3 on each side) then chances are it will work.

vauxhall seem to mix and match when they like so the above isnt set in stone.

My car is a 58 plate with the roller wheels each side. Halfords can never be trusted!

Is there any way I can find out which cable i need?

should look like the one on the right. only way to find out 100% is to remove the hu to see what it is. dont know why halfords didnt. it takes about 30seconds to take it out and put it back in

    SOT-122 Alternative

I bought a Parrot 3200 LS from Halfords, i mistakenly thought they knew what they were doing. They told me i didn't need any extra cables! Got the free fitting and arranged to go back. When the fitter took out the stereo he piped up asking if i had the extra cable! Not a happy chappie! So they fitted the Parrot as usual and i now have to go back when the cable arrives.
