    Question Hard suspension??

Don't know if it's just in my head,
but i seem to think the drive in my car, seems to be harder then my mates.

He has the sri 1.9cdti 150 manual, hatchback.. and i have the design 1.9cdti 150 auto hatch.

Now, i had ago of his.. andhis seems alot comfier than mine to drive.
    e.g softer on the road.

it's nothing to do with the seating position, as we both have the same.

Drove the car's around on the route, and yet, mine felt more harsh on the bumps. even my mate agreed.

    What could be wrong?
i've looked at the suspenson coils.. they look fine, none are borke or cracked. shockies seem fine, done the lil test on them, and they seem ok!

    Thought's on this??
    cheers!

If his has done a lot of miles or, carried a lot of weight or, towed the suspension may have sagged making it a bit softer????

Ahh true!k.. think his on about
    mines just done ??
cars are the same age too.

saying that tho.... i had a hire car, of mine, but in manual, it was brand new.. only had miles on the clock.. and that seemed softer.

Must just be in my head!

Maybe the auto is in the next weight range and has the next set up of heavy duty springs.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Design should be considerably softer than any SRi. I test drove two Designs, one a 1.8VVT and one a 1.9CDTi, and they were both so wobbly and floaty they made me seasick.

Also test drove a number of SRi with various engines and they're all firmer.

I thought that with it being an auto. it might have stiffer suspension.
i'll ask at teh stealers tomorrow, as i need to give them a bit of a poke over the replacement of my HU, as the DAB doesn't work on it.

... they said they'd call me back! this was November!
