Default EGR valve / Swirl valve

Is the EGR valve the same thing as a swirl valve?

    Think mine is pooped!

    Any advice would be great!

2 totally different things mate, EGR makes the can reburn exhaust gases, and a swirl valve opens up a 2nd set of pathways to the air intake chamber. thus altering the swirl pattern of the air i believe...

yes, they become coked up become sticky, you can also see them 'lift' slightly which is why you get oily deposits around them, and the bar which connects them altogether likes to fall off too!, 2 options cheapo £1 rubber wash fix (may/maynot last depending if the valves jam up) and the other option is complete new inlet manifold with swirl valve

Assuming it's the Y20DTH engine with the electric EGR, (I don't know anything about Signums), it's sealed by an O-ring. You may get away with it but the VX part number is 93172881.
