Upgrading CD30

In my 2007 SRI Vectra C I have the standard CD30 - which is fine. But I would like a unit that plays MP3 CDs, or an auto-changer unit so as to reduce the number of CDs knockin about in my car.

Can anyone tell me which standard Vectra C units I should consider and, if possible, how much I could expect to pay for one second hand?

Any suggestions on where to source would also be welcomed with a large, New Year hug too!... thanks.

Am sure someone knows much more about this than me, but I was also looking at doing this. There might be a CDC30 which does play MP3's am sure a thread on this site mentions it. Also have a search for CDC40 / CDC70 and you will get plenty of results about this same subject. There's also a seller on ebay doing refurbished CDC40's.

The CDC40's play MP3's and you can also add DAB if required. I would like to do this but seem an expensive upgrade.

Remember when buying secondhand that they are coded to the car, and have to be coded out of the old one and back in again.

One of local VX stealers charges about £35 per half hour for Tech 2. Have been quoted upto about £60 though. Suggest you ring around.

Got a cd30 in my sri that plays mp3s. Had same radio in my 05 club that played mp3s also. Thought it was a standard feature.
