Default Whats the deal with the signum

I might be wrong but I get the impression that people seem to regard the signum as being a superior model to the vectra, is this the case or is it just a different body. Sorry if this is a daft question but I'm new to all this vauxhall stuff and am trying to get a bit of an insight before I purchase anything.

as far as i was aware it's just bodywork differences. it's just forum banter to have a jokey rivalry about it i think.

The Signum does have more sound proofing, in certian areas it is better built as well, the boot side panels and floor trim for example is screwed and bolted on the Signum and clipped on the Vectra.

    I have owned 2 Vectra C's, both 1.9 150 diesels, an 04 and a facelift 06, and two Signums, both facelift, a 3.0 diesel and a 1.9 150 diesel.

The Signum is a nicer car to drive due to it's wheel base being longer, but I had no complaints about the Vectra either.

    But I prefer the Signum.

With BMW launching a 5 series exectutive hatch later this year, it is bound to be a success and if so, the idea of an executive hatch may catch better than before, which could mean a brighter future for used Signums.

I know there starting to sell again and are more in demand than before.
