Default Changing alternator belt on a 1.9 cdti sri?

How easy is this to do as i'm fed up spraying WD40 onto my dry alternator belt? I've got the replacement belt from my dealer (£16'ish). I can't find anything that goes into detail in the how2 section. I've noticed there aren't any pulleys like on previous cars so where is the tensioner/adjuster? I haven't removed the airfilter box yet for a better look so maybe this would help.
Has anyone got any advice on how to change belts?

its not to bad to do, just get a piece of paper and 2 coloured pens, with 1 colour do circles for the pulleys and with the other colour pen draw a line for the belt, you will also need a spanner for the tensioner, hth m8

Is it easier to do this with the driver side wheel and the wheel arch lining removed? There's an engine mount blocking some of the view from above with the air filter box removed?

I am not sure on the Vectra C. But if it is like on the Wifes Vectra B 1.8 you put a spanner (might be about 16m/m) on the nut and lever it down, it doesn,t need undoing, just pressing down, then the tension is relived off the belt. But if you read the post above yours by solorider, it says that you need a locking tool. I don,t know why though. Unless it have something to do with the fuel pump or something that need to be in "sync"??

Might be worth a trip to halfrurds to see if there is a manual for the 1.9, just in case.
