    Default xbox360 connections

just wondered what the best way is to have the xbox wired up to the tv..
I've got a 42" samsung plasma and its currently wired up with the component hd cable that came with the xbox...
is this outputting hi def?.. or would a HDMI cable be better?

Hey,i just bought my son a 19 in flatscreen for his xbox. Then found out its only a monitor for a pc (that he is using it for now). The question is, is there any adapters out there for the xbox to fit this screen!!...aggggggg!

When i run both my 360's through the same TV (42" plasma) you can tell which one is connected via HDMI, the picture is so much better than the one connected via components.. defo go the HDMI route..

You might need a Y splitter for the sound, i've got a 19" dell monitor that we sometimes connect one of the 360's through, and the VGA leads come with phono audio connectors, our 19" monitor has a dell sound bar fitted which has the normal PC sound connector 3.5mm jack plug, so you may need the Y splitter that converts the 2 phono leads to a 3.5mmjack plug and also coupler to connect the 2 x 3.5mm jack plugs together so you get the sound from the 360..

We got our Y splitter and coupler from maplins
