Default Is THIS HID kit any good?

I have a HID kit bit it's rubbish, MATT on the site made me a device to make them work correctly but it just turns the bulbs pink, it's the kit NOT Matts work.

Is this kit anygood or has anybody got one and fitted it?

Thanks in advance, I'm off out so hopefully some replies for later. I don't really have the budget for a more expensive kit at the moment. I might just have to save up a while if this is no good,

Can only comment on the kit from HID's Direct as that's what I've fitted and had no problems with it at all, but it's a lot more expensive than that kit. My only comment would be that you get what you pay for mate...

    Feedback isn't hugely good either...

Excellent mate, if you could give me your feedback on it that would be great. Think I will buy it but I will see what you think, or shall I just get some Irmy pedals, it's my birthday on the 25th so I'll have to see!

    Thanks,

    Robbie

I DO have this kit fitted, and its brilliant, the only issue I had was there seemed to be a bit of interference through the FM radio, but I have fitted an amplifier when I put the HK ipod kit in, and its much better, they guys were really helpful, offered to change the ballasts when I mentioned the radio issue, I went for 6000k bulbs, and they are plenty bright enough, and I've not had any flashes fron oncoming traffic, so I'm well impressed.

Good luck, and happy New Year to all.
    Cheers

Guys, I have a question for you. I'm from Romania and around here there are many people who sell HID's, including myself, but I never heard of this type of problems like RF interference.
Regarding this kit, am I missing something or it doesn't say in the add it's power? I couldn't see if it's 35W or 50W. 'Cause if it's 50W then it's a must have
Cheers and Happy New Year to everybody!

The kit I have is a 35w one, but if the 50w kits are loads brighter, then I agree, they're a must have, I'll have to get in touch with J.A.M and see if they stock 50w ballasts.

I also bought this kit last month and it works brilliantly on my 04 plate siggy, its the best £70 ive spent on the car, a massive improvement in lighting ( i also went with the 6000k bulbs, nice and bright with a tinge of blue showing) and with no faults/errors and simple to fit. Personally i would recommend them but thats my opinion..lol

137mph, be advised that it's not enough just to change the ballasts, the bulbs also must be 50W

And yeah, the 50W are a lot brighter, I have on my veccy factory fitted 35W 4.3K HID's but I put on a friends Vectra 50W 6K and they don't compare

And for me 6k is the ideal colour, not to blue-ish like 8k but also not as typical as standard

Good to hear your thoughts on changing the bulbs too, there was another thread that said, the bulbs were the same, it was just the ballasts that were different, to be honest, I'll probably just leave it, the headlamps are now stacks better than standard, and it's also the best 70 quid I've spent in a long time, and as most of my driving involves twisty country roads late at night, I'd even considered putting them in the mains as well........either that or some bl**dy great Cibie Super Oscars on the front (sorry thats my 70's rallying fetish coming out)
