Default Best way of disposing PC

Right guys, I have an old PC (win95). Its utter poo so not even worth giving away. I'm going to take it to the local council recycling tip but first I want to make sure no personal details can be taken from it like CC transactions and the like. I have no leads for it any more so what physically can I do to make it safe.

    Cheers

    Steve.

If you can remove the hard drive take a hammer to it and smash all the board and disk.

What he said is the best option. Take the sides out and rip out the hard drive and smack the crap outta it.

    The rest can be binned

As Baz\says. Simply remove the hard drive from the case (4 screws) and smash it up with a big hammer. If you wanna be really safe, use something sharp to gouge the surface of the little discs in the hard drive. That ought to do it
