    Default Chrome window trim

My chrome trim on the boot and windows was fading a fair bit and looking worse for wear particularly the windows so i tried some meguires PLASTX polish today and quite pleased with results. brought the shine back to almost like new. maybe worth a try if anyone has this problem and doesnt fancy replacing them

My sri suffered from what looked like water marks behind the plastic. Started with the Qtr lights then spread to all windows. Vauxhall replaced them on a share cost basis. Even my Elite has started going now and its just had its first birthday

Was yours the same Graeme? i may get some if it was

Mine hasn't got them (which I prefer). Seems like it's saving me hassle as well.

Just a thought, but for anyone on a tight budget who’s suffering from tarnished under-window silver strips.
Would it be possible to spray these black? I know the door section trim can be easily removed and the silver area could be masked and sprayed (with, of course, the right sort of primer/paint to stay on!) satin black. The strip on the windows in the rear pillars would have to be painted in-situ.
Just a thought, but anyone’s who’s Vectra is looking ‘shabby’ in this area might think about “updating” the look to the 2005 spec!!! Any thoughts anyone?

Interesting stuff chaps. My 2003 LS of course only has the black rubber trim and I was wondering if it's possible to replace them with the chrome type? If so, how much is it likely to cost? and more to the point, if they keep tarnishing, is it really worth it???
