Sorry if the title sounds like i'm dissing the Signum, as i'm not.

It looks like a quality motor, but as i'm new to the VX Vectra scene, it has just been bugging me as to why VX designed it in the first place.

We have the Vectra Hatchback, the Vectra Saloon and the Vectra Estate, so why have the Signum? What is the difference? Surely it's another Vectra Hatchback

So what are the differences as i'm really interested. From what I can see from peoples pics, it just looks like a Hatchback, only shorter at the arse end. This this it?

Don't know really. It was meant to replace the Omega, but realistically, it was never going to happen. Basically, it's got a longer wheelbase, with extra rear legroom and a few more toys over the equivalent Vectra model.

I think really, it was produced to give Vectra drivers something to aspire to.

It's a nicer looking car than the Vec Estate imo, sadly I could never have one due to the 2+2 seating.

tell you what i saw a cracking 150 cdti design on 19'' flakes yesterday for less than 10k........and boy would i have liked to buy it

Howabout:

Looks better than the Vec (any of the body styles)

Has a 5" longer wheelbase than the Vec H/B or saloon, giving much more legroom for rear passengers, without the hearse-a-like look of the estate.
