Storing Car Batteries

If I needed to store a good car battery for while as a spare, how should it be done with relation to state of charge? Ie fully charged, fully discharged, or half charge

Definitely not fully discharged. I believe fully charged and then charged again once taken out of storage.

You always get them new charged so I would leave it fully charged.

Correctomundo. Store car batteries always fully charged, cleaned, and in cool & dry (batteries discharges faster in warm conditions). Recharge couple of times during winter. Fully charged battery freezes at -67 degrees, while empty battery doesn't need many minus degrees..
