    Default 1.8 cambelt replacement?

    Has anyone done this as a diy job? i`ve looked on the how to section but only shows changing belts on the diesel engines, can we have some pics as well if poss: for the way to lock the cams, many many thanks

    Yes, defo DIY = if you're enough 'spanners'

    no problem with spanners, served my apprenticeship on B/LEYLAND MOTORS, & gained C&GUILDS, this was many years ago but i still do most work on my own motors, can`t do with paying someone do do jobs that can be diy, look forward to Ste`s how 2, so glad i found this site, cheers fellas

    Just out of interest, you guys changing the belt, are you also changing the water pump?

    think my water pump is on way out! how easy is it too change? DIY or prof job?? more importantly how much??

    Once the belt and everything is out of the way, then it will be relatively easy. £40 from memory for the part at trade club price.
