Oh lovely, so every pedal jockey is gonna have one fitted...NOT... and what happens when you need a squirt of power and it isn't there anymore? I do wish these ppl would leave things they don't understand alone, it's the same crew that brought you Cat Converters and DPF's
The good old motorists forum. If ever there was a waste of everybody's time it's them. Every recommendation comes on the back of some work someone else has done and nearly all state that they either should be voluntary or need more research. Yawn.
If you ever have trouble sleeping read the apathy and general cant be arsed making a decision on our own that is the Motorists Forum. Utter ****e.
Typical gem.
"We proposed getting messages across in new, more up to date ways, such as involving role models, professional sportsmen and women, getting messages into "Soaps" and community involvement at a local level."
The doors that way. ******s

You don,t like them "eh" Steve.
you are going down a motorway at 70mph, the device loses its gps signal and decides you are on a road with a 30 limit, how much fun would that be when 2 trucks, a coach and 3 cars hit you up the @rse
why cant these people bvgger off and leave well alone
It makes you wonder where they get some of their ideas from. I am sure that if there were more speed limit sign,s by the side of the road the majority of motorist would adere to the speed limit. If this idea of speed restriction ever did come into force. Where would they then get the revenue from that the once got from speeding motorists......... Would they then start fining you for driving fast enough, as you would never be able to go over the limit.

Sounds good in theory, but
"The device automatically slows a car down to within the limit for the road on which it is being driven."
In practice - on the Tom Tom when coming over Shap on Sunday on the M6, for some reason it was showing a max speed of 30mph - so that means everything would go from 60 - 70mp to 30mph in a matter of yards - imagine the carnage!
personally i think its a great idea and over due, reduced fuel cost reduced wear and tear, reduced tickets, reduced deaths, reduced motorway congestion. the list for is much bigger than the against
if that was fitted and your insurance was halved along with fuel etc would we all be a little happier ? just means a slight change in life style to get in your car, to get to your destination on time. id sign up
