Replacing head unit

Hi

I was thinking about replacing my head unit as it plays up sometimes switches from radio to cd for no reason and the other day there was no sound and it wouldnt switch off until I pulled the fuse, think it has a gremlin

So if I fit my JVC head unit what would happen to the display is there a lead which still keeps the centre screen functioning? When I did this on my astra I was just left with the date.

What lead would I need too keep the controls on the steering wheels?

If the unit will accept steering controls then the center display will be fine, if not you will get all the normal stuff minus the radio display and you will also loose your steering controls.
