When I last went to SP with my first GSi Zaf, it did 15.7 in standard form.
I reckon my current one will get into the low 15's to high 14's.
the times in the photos (on the other thread) do look a little slower than i thought they would, but thats prob cos they are big heavish cars and getting them moving is the hard part.
i had a Cav V6 with 185bhp, and it was only about 0.3 sec quicker than my previous motor a cav 2.0 sri (133 bhp), its the weight, but once moving the second 1/8th was far quicker!!
Did anyone try it in a 2.2 (or have they still to cross the line *lol), I would be interested to know the time ...
For some reason none of the 2.2's present ran..It was only the 'bigger' bhp cars that wanted to go up the strip..
the track today was very slippery to say the least and at about 2 oclock my fastest time was 16.2 the other time being a 16.8 ... absolutly rubish ..
Gsi bill had a 15.8 and markspark had a real belter of 15.7 to take the fastest time of the day , ............or though he thought my last 2 runs gave me a 15.8 and a 15.6 ............to nip it at the end
duncan also had grip problems his best was 16.4 with alex ... the ONLY VEC DIESEL to run today with a worthy 16.2
I my experience though on a warmish dry day everyone would be looking at an increase of upto 0.5 of a second faster
barney had a 15.4 in his diesel astra and my mate paul in his mondeo st 220 walked away with ftd 15.2
