Another Alternator queery sorry

Hi there, i have a 54 plate cdti , I think the alternator has had it , as the multimetre is dropping as the engine is running , and whilst driving the batt light , esp light, powersteering lost ect..

I understand there is a problem with the denso ones but i am not sure which one i have, i also understand there is a recall, but i dont think my vin falls in the cat as per a post i read earlier.

the vin ends in 51053009 if that helps, i will ring the dealers tomorrow or stealers as you guys say.

This club looks as good as the FTOOC.

Thanks in advance if you can bring light to my problem.

I did not even realise the alternator was going when it happened the lot stopped nothing would start,if you need a new one do not go to the stealers £335 +vat plus fitting,I replaced mine with an up rated one got it on line from car parts direct,and had my local garage fit it,not the most easy of jobs to do.

thanks for your input matey, i would like to know more about the recall, anyone else here had it done

If me and a friend had to do it is there a how to, difficult maybe, not impossible though, what do you recon.

If a 3.2 alternator will fit yours , I have one . Drop me a pm if your interested.
I took it off my car today as I'm breaking it , not a good job on mine , dunno about yours .

No alternator recall for W0L0ZCF6851053009.
Just the handbrake lever spring recall that you can have done by an authorised dealer.
Your car has 100A alternator but 32 engine has 140A and I assume it does not fit to the diesel engine. You have to find an alternator from an 1.9 diesel.

I have fitted the 140a to my 1.9 no problem

EPC at least tells me that the 3.2 petrol engine 140A and 1.9 diesel engine alternators are not the same. Are you sure you had the petrol one? Because 1.9 diesel also has 140A alternator.
Just checking as I have never held a 3.2 engine alternator in my hand
