    Question CD70 NAVI- CD Title

    Hi all,

Inserted a number of genuine CDs into the CD70 expecting to see Song title and album, but all I get is Track 1, 2, 3, etc.

Is this the norm? CD Title is enabled in the settings.

    Ta much

    Steve

Yes mate It depends on the disc, If i record them off itunes it will display them, not all original (very few) have it on the disc.

You'll be much better off burning an mp3 disc off itunes (make sure you tick the song info box) You can fit quite a few albums on a disc and it shold display the info then and you don't need to keep swapping discs.

It has to be an MP3 format to show the song titles on the screen.

Also you will get about 250 songs on a normal cd if there in MP3 format.

not quite correct. It has to be a CD which has been authored with CD-Text to get the song titles when playing a CD.

no there are original CD's that will show the titles, but only few. They will have the 'CD-text' logo mentioned somewhere. I think there is only one major (Sony ?) who uses the system

and if you make a compilation disc on your PC (no MP3) you can enable CD-text
